Long time lurker, now taking the plunge! Leaving for South America
Hello All!
I've been trying to get a cross continent trip planned for about 10 years now and finally all the moons have aligned and I have the time off from work and also not horribly broke for once. Anyway plan on leaving in about a week or so from the US and heading down to Central/South America. Before I go just wanted to stop by and say thanks to everyone here at the HUBB. This has been an amazing source of information for the trip and I only hope that I also can contribute in some way. Also want to say thanks specifically to Mr. Bakker as he was extremely helpful in providing his outstanding guidebooks in a short time frame. Look forward to meeting you out there! -Alex Also any pre-departure advise is more than welcome!

Enjoy your trip!
Advice: Whatever your luggage is, leave half of it at home.  Please contribute with up to date info relevant various threads to do with the areas you pass through. Write a ride RR as you go. All the Best
