Just a quick hello

Just thought I should say a quick hello as I've been lurking on the HUBB for a while and people at the HU UK meeting said I should get an id set up, so here I am!

For those who met me at the UK meeting I'm the ex-copper with the BMW that went a bit upside down. For those that don't know me, I'm a friendly but slightly wobbly rider from sunny old Surrey.

Welcome from the Rocky mountains

Hey there's a riders meeting in colorado next weekend. Come on over for a good time. Just getting there from here is 1000 miles with lot's of interesting two track (greenway?) to ride.

Welcome. If you were the one that was sliding in the mud, the 'local guy' from Ripley with the 650 Dakar has a nice photo of you somewhere. I can't remember his name now but it rhymed with 'dodgy dealer'. Maybe Lee Wheeler? He probably tried to flog you a BMW error code unit too ;o)

Fet600 11 Jul 2007 22:34

I've already had Lee try his BMW error dohicky and he couldn't get it to work on my bike. Probably clogged up with all that mud I was rolling about in! Might have to see if his pic of me is any better. ;-)

Hi there Fet

Welcome to the HUBB. Never mind that questionable post about "lurking".
Good roads!!!

BEN I lost your email address or I would have written sooner, nice to see you on the board, I've just spent today wiring up a set of Hella Fogs to the Bike.

2 x 35w HID lights, 2 x 55w Hellas = one flat battery LMAO

Did you do any damage to your ride when you went boobs up? I lost my trigger switch, slightly bent my bars and various scratches, both me and the bike loved it.

I've been back over the routes that we followed and the places I fell off just so that they didn't beat me, I hate being afraid on the bike nothing worse then that. But in the sun the bike sticks like glue and I only dropped it once by myself which is a bonus.

I leave on the 1st of Aug as I've had sh*t loads of trouble with Visa's, misses is coming with me for the first 2 weeks then she can fly home, so wish me luck.

Fet600 31 Jul 2007 09:14

Hey Lee! I've not got your email address but I'll chuck a PM over to you with mine.

The bike's in one piece but my centre stand is still looking a bit wonky. Never mind, it can all be kicked back into shape.

Good luck with the trip and let me know if you've got a blog as I want to keep up with your travels mate.

:-)
