How's The Going From Ireland

Hi all, my name is Donal and I'm 24 and from Ireland.I've been on the site a wile but only getting around to introducing myself now.I ride a 97 Yamaha TDM 850 with a few extra bits like full luggage, spot lights,Motad exhaust system and Givi screen.

Im a mechanic and living in Limerick so if I can ever do anything for any passing travellers just let me know.Next summer I'm planing a trip to Morocco going Limerick to Belfast across to Scotland up north to John o Groats down trough the UK and across to France and Spain ,I'm staying with friends in Tangier then back to France and get the ferry home.:scooter:

Thanks for reading my intro and I look forward to talking to you all.
Donal

Welcome Donal,

Sounds like a great trip. Scotland is (of course) bloody marvelous. Morocco is great too, I'm hankering for another trip back - hopefully soon! :)

If you plan on returning to lake Garda in the future, PM me on this forum and we can have a beer together with pleasure.

I live less than 20 miles south its southern shore.

Greetings,
Nick

Hi Donal,

In Scotland, due to our access rights, you can camp on any wild land as long as you camp responsibly - i.e. not too close to habitation or right next to the road. If you are discreet you'll probably find somewhere to camp in most of the wilder parts of scotland.

In my opinion the west and north coasts of Scotland have to be some of the best motorcycling in the world. You can ride up the great glen to inverness then up to the top and then come back down the west coast. The west coast is really not to be missed.
