Hi to OZ and Tasmania
 

HI likeminded travellers.
I am new to this page but love it already as I have found so much helpful information.
I will start riding my R1200 Gs to Tasmania in Feb.2014 starting from Sydney. After Tasmania I will head back to Melbourne and make my way along the coast to WA. Once there I will head up north until I hit the Tanami Rd across to Alice Springs.
Timeline should be about 6 mth. I have never done a trip like this before and I am super exited and look forward to hit the road. Hopefully I will meet some travellers on the way to share stories and travel advice. As I will riding solo I hope for some great people along the way.

Hi Stephen, Welcome to Australia. I am currently in Tasmania and it's a great place to ride. There's heaps of places to free camp or get cheap accom and tons of stuff to do.
