Hi from Team Katy
 

Just thought I would introduce us, my name is Mick and my partner is Kate hence the team name. Kate and I are both long time riders and I have toured all over Europe and when I met Kate the idea was to continue.

We had one trip to France and then Kate started to forget things and she was eventually diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's at just 56 so had to give up riding. We are not giving in however and my Bonnie now has a sidecar and we are embarking on as many trips as we can afford.

Who knows, we may even sell the house and take off into Europe for the remainder of her quality life. Adventures with Alzheimer's!

Welcome to the HUBB Mick & Kate. I like your positive spirit and good for you guys living for the moment. I'm no doctor but that idea must be great therapy for both of you. Its how we deal with life's "problems" that set us apart from others. :thumbup1:

We've already done one trip in the UK and raised just over £2000.00 for the Alzheimer's Society. Even if we just stay in our home islands there is plenty to see over the next few years we have both been to Scotland but not together so that is on the cards for this year.

Kate has been called an inspiration by one of her specialists, she is, and if we can enjoy ourselves and raise awareness on the way it can only be good.
