Hi from SF
 

Hey all,

Greetings from San Francisco. New to HU obviously though I met a number of you at the Carson Valley moto thang a few months back. I've owned my 07 KTM adv 990 since new, bought originally to solve a problem: what to do for a month between jobs (but I had to be in Whistler half way through for a new-job related thing). Sold the ZX-12R, bought the KTM, and took off with about 120 miles on the odo. After one 120km overloaded, wet and slippery dirt/rock/mud ride on that trip, I decided to stick mostly to pavement for a while. :helpsmilie: Did get as far as Jasper / Banff though!

Recently I decided to get serious about the adventure part of the KTM, and finally bought the usual stuff: proper skidplate, sidestand relo, lower / wider pegs and risers. Suddenly she's a lot easier to ride offroad!

I have to say I've been procrastinating on signing up here as it would be rather tortuous to listen all of the great travel stories while being stuck with only 3.128 weeks of vacation a year. doh
