I am Michiel Kerkhof,63 yrs old IBA rider since 2006, retired since 2004 been riding motorcycles since 1992.am riding the Iron Butt Rally in the US this year in july.Have got the plan to ride the Yamaha Super Tenere 1200 I have stabled with my son in Melbourne all the way home in 2015...ride start Melbourne with 3 riders and 3 bikes(all Super Tenere's)will be crossing tru OZ to Darwin/Port Medland then the plan is to seek transport from there to Singapore then across Malaysia,Vietnam,Laos into China to Mongolia then west tru Siberia and former USSR....Still in it's very early stage and open to any tip/advice from the list on how to handle things like gettin Visa for various countries ,best routes...places one should avoid etc etcduration of the trip will be some 3-4 months which is the max the other 2 riders can make available timewise....
