Hi Loud

It's been a long time since I had an Ulster Fry...:welcome:

Loudpedal 16 Feb 2009 19:05

Hi Caminando

Just back from an awsume weekend riding in the hills above Malaga.
An Ulster fry would have been well welcome at anytime over the weekend.

Hope you get a chance to have another one soon.

Hi and welcome Loudpedal!

Good to have you on board. N.I. is on top of my list of places to go, especially after a couple of friends of mine decided to move there from their current home not far from Coventry. I think they are moving not far from the Bushmill distillery, which makes a trip there even more tempting...

Anyway: As said, good to have you here. Oh, and remember to support these guys if you can.

Yes it was way back in the mists of time when some mates and I came over from Scotland for the roadracing at Killinchy. It was a great weekend and everybody was brilliant to us. We had an old rotten Transit van stuffed with bikes. I remember we got stopped by troops; apart from the ones at the van door, there were loads hiding in bushes pointing an armoury at us.

I hadn't heard of cholesterol then so I enjoyed the grub.

Hi John, a big welcome from a fellow emerald islander, just out of curiosity what ferry do you use to cross from Ireland to the UK? Belfast, Dublin or Rosslare?

Loudpedal 23 Feb 2009 19:24

Hi Adrian.

Thanks for the welcome.
As to ferrys.

It depends on where I'm going, and the time frame I have
I have used most of them over the years.

Mostly Belfast to Stranraer HSS or Dun-laoghaire Holyhead HSS cuts out the M6 Birmingham jams if heading to England or the chunnel.
Rosslare to Fishguard I have used but it's not as handy as Holyhead.

Depending on my timings I have used Belfast Berkinhead. It's not the cheepest but you get a nights sleep and all you can eat.
You can then be in Dover for lunch.

It all depends on the reason, direction, and best deal at the time.
Shop around, motorsport travel, or nutt travel usually offer the best deals.
But not always.
