Well, I figured that since I'm new around here I'd post and open myself up to the wolves :lol:

The name is Mark Edwards, but more commonly known as 'stumpy' (or 'That fat tw*t' to my friends) and I currently ride a Suzuki DL650 which I've now had for a little over a year.

It's been around five years since I got back to biking and after writing off my first two sportsbikes decided that a bit trailie/tourer would suit me better - hence the DL. I have to say that its a cracking bike to ride and quite underrated.

So far I've had the DL take me over for a fortnight touring around Brittany in France followed by a round trip of Germany, Switzerland, The Alps, Monaco and France at easter of this year.

The next trip I'm planning is a solo jaunt up to Nordkapp in midsummer. Still having to plan a full route yet [I have as far as the ferry crossing sorted out at the moment] but trying to angle much more time off work than they deem suitable so I can take the long way home via Russia and Poland - although the chances of getting enough time without having to find unpaid months to do the entire circuit...

So, I'm sure that there will be lots I'll need to be asking in the weeks and months ahead. Hopefully, I won't be the one asking all the questions though and I'll be able to give some decent input back to the community as well...
