Good luck in your project.

Might I suggest a better and 100% transparent way of receiving funds is to open a (free) www.justgiving.com account. Funds raised via this site goes to the charity of your choice and there is a tax benefit too as they use Gift Aid reclaim to boost moneys raised.

We live in a very cynical world (alas but often for good reasons...) and your statement:
"100% of the money goes to the projects of EBM Masa / God's beloved people and indeed directly and prior Or t. We give you our word. Mirko & Claudia"
however well intentioned you maybe, your statement will not facilitate donations from people who do not know you.

As you will have no control or access to the money you raise via JustGiving, (people can pay from all over the world with their credit and bank cards) those who feel for your project are much more likely to donate as they know this. A paypal account is not the way to go for what you wish to do.

Sadly, it has become a trendy thing to publish a website advertising a bike trip with some charitable aim and to get suppliers of equipment to donate their goods to 'help' you get there or to raise funds.
Most times these kind hearted but naive suppliers are taken for a ride (if you'll pardon the expression) as the goods they give only benefit those who use them for their travels.

Many claiming to raise funds for a charity seldom any provide a measured and accountable program before and after.
Using JustGiving will give you an excellent 'tool' to maintain transparency and I would encourage you to look well into this.

Note: I am not suggesting in anyway, manner or form that you, Mirko & Claudia, have any other intentions but honest ones.
I am trying to be helpful to you in your planning drawing on my personal experiences of missions to orphanages in Africa.

ps I have no connection to JustGiving aside from having opened an account myself for the above.

Hi all the best for your trip...

Just my comment to this is why to change something which is already good? As more fancy the bike looks as more you will run into problems. My AT just blends into the surrounding (except in the big cities of Australia which we try to avoid anyhow). As more dirty and old the bike looks as less problems you have. If you go with some shiny bikes into some villages you will be surpsised what happens... but I guess that will happen because it happens to all of us... shiny bike or not...

Ours is an AT from 93, 150.000km, black, scratched, a bit rosty, nothing revamped except the usual things you have to do on the AT: Rectifier, Main Suspension (debateable IF you really have to do it), Light, Gasoline Pump, Front suspension. Hope you did this things as well... (but I htink I saw you in our Forum AT.de in there is everything explained much better than I can do here...)

Good luck and I wish you the experiance of an lifetime... dont worry will be, no doubt...

Cheers

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
