Hello from UK - interested in M.East
Hello all,
the wife and I have spent a year backpacking and I am now very interested in overlanding. Young kids mean that it won't happen for a little while - I hope to do it when the kids are 5-10yrs. Old enough to get something out of it, but young enough to still enjoy hanging out with mum and dad! We intend to spend Christmas 2013 in Jordan and would love to be able to drive/camp around the country to dip our toes into overlanding. Hiring a bare 4x4 is easy, but does anyone know a way of hiring a kitted out truck out there, or could we hire/steal one from someone on a bigger trip while they have a break, renew docs in UK etc. It's a long way off, but any thoughts welcome.

Welcome aboard!
 Given what you're hoping to do, you might be interested in coming along to the HUBB UK event at the end of May. Would be an ideal opportunity to learn from those who've done similar trips in the past and pick their brains about things specific to your plans.
