hello people

hi, i'm keith from hull, east yorkshire.
mate of mine mentioned this website to me so i thought i'd have a look, well impressed! just for the record i'm 46 and been riding motorcycles since i was 17, my current bike is a fazer 1000 which i've owned since 2004 from new. always try and get out on the road as much as possible and been to most places on the british isles in my biking years, never ridden abroad apart from day hired motorbikes whilst on package holiday (do they count!!), in recent years i've had this yearning to clear off to much further far flung places on bike, hopefully in about 3 years me and the missus plan to a year out travelling, where and how far we get to is another matter, in the meantime i'll have to settle for picking up tips and info from seasoned travellers books and websites like this.

Hi Keith,

If you are wanting to meet other bike travellers get yourself along to one of the mini meets that happen every few months in the north. Dazzer has planned one in dent in a few weeks time. These meets are always good fun, food chat and more .

Welcome to the HUBB

Yes Dazzers weekend will no doubt be a good meet, but unfortunately I will not be able to make it.

The Derby meet is also a 'don't miss' weekend, that one has presentations and many talks and filmshows.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
