Hello everyone

Hi im Richie im 28 and have been lurking on the site for some time but i now find myself out of excuses to not make a big trip.
I have split from my wife and have reached the point in my job where i have to make a choice to stay of go and its time to jump ship and live a little. Im about to sell my Z1000 and get a more suitable bike to travel on so im trawling Ebay each day.
Hopefully ill get chance to get to a meet and have a chat with people and get plenty of research done from the site.

so hopefully ill meet some of you soon

Try a TTR.

Hi, check out Yamaha's ttr 600r. I have a good one and need to sell it. I live in Brighton and the bike's there, SORNed at the moment. If you don't want to take a pillion, long distance that is, and don't mind kick start only, this is a superb bike. The suspension is excellent...compliant and much better than on Yamaha's XT's. This one, 2001 I think, has a large capacity, 20l Acerbis fuel tank, 29,000 km and is tip top mechanically with surface corrosion on most fasteners. The oil and filters have always been changed as needed and the pads, discs, chain and sprockets are all very good. The front Pirelli tyre is good and I'm going to put on a new rear one. I can post photos if you're interested. I'd like £1,300 for it MOT'd, 6 months' tax and with a spare chain. Some people advise against a kick start incase you injure a leg but the advantage is a very light and nimble bike with very little to go wrong electrically. Regards, Lindsay

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
