Smile Hi from Route 66 Motorcycle Hotel, France

Well I am now a member again after losing my password and user name. So now im back. The weather here is cold and snowing. Not really biking weather although I have given the old Franny Barnet a warm up after fiddling with the carb. Thats the beauty of old bikes, you can have a "fiddle". The RSV gets a polish now and again but you cant "fiddle" with an RSV. My old chop gets a fiddle now and again but she's too big to get in the house and its too cold out in the garage.

Anyway apart from "fiddling' we are getting ready for our 2013 season and looking forwards to some sunshine. So if you are heading down to France and need a place to stay, give us a try; ROUTE 66 MOTORCYCLE HOTEL and CAMPSITE, Biker friendly B and B in France Bikers Bed and Breakfast biker friendly Accommodation in France

Best wishes
Harry

For info, I like the way you have the lats and longs for your position on the front page of your website - that's much better than scratching around with some GPS which ask for addresses, house numbers, the works, when searching for a postal code.

I would suggest that you should be in the bike friendly bit of the HUBB, but that is not the whole story, because my question is "do you allow vehicles other than bikes through the gates?" (I don't always use two wheels when travelling in France).

Hi Walkabout

Hi, thanks for the response.

A GPS position s important in France because a postcode can cover about 20 sq miles. A good guide is also the Google maps.

Thanks for the heads up on the Bike Friendly bit of the HUBB, I will have a look. We actually get quite a few bikers coming in their cars or camper vans because that way they can bring the family. - So no we do not mind at all. The important thing is to have the biker attitude.

Best wishes
Harry

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
