Greetings from Wiltshire in the UK :thumbup1:
Have been an occasional visitor on here for a while, current bikes are a Honda Varadero and a Yamaha TT600RE 'project bike'. Spotted a thread of interest in the Yamaha section and thought it rude not to post in the newbies section first.

Cheers all bier

:welcome: Good looking bike. Got any trips planned?

Horizonti 8 Sep 2013 23:12

Thanks Chris, no great trips planned at the moment, work commitments and a bad back are keeping me tethered currently but 'project bike' is keeping me sane and the dreams alive!

To help with the sanity, but possibly increase the depletion of brain cells (caused by beerconsumption etc) these 2 events are happening in the near future

I was in Wiltshire for a week after the Aug BH enjoying a few of your splendid trails :)
The bike looks nice - it may be perspective of the photo but did it start out as something different?

Hi phoenix, 'project bike' started as a standard but rather sad looking Yamaha TT600RE but has had a bit of a slow time makeover with new seat, plastics, bars, guards, speedo, pivot pegs, Acerbis tank and Metal Mule rack and pannier system and probably a few other bits and bobs. It's something that has kept me happy in the garage tinkering for some time. I dream of riding it down to Morocco and 'doing some dunes' but need to find the time to explore Wiltshire's lovely lanes and plains on it first!

Before and after pics...........
