Greetings from Fife

Hi
I have just joined after lurking for 6 months or so.
I am a retired 64 year old and got back into bikes early this year.
I have had a couple of tours already and hoping to hook up with mature
or retired folk who do a bit of motorcycle travel on this forum.
Got a few plans for Morocco and Turkey and will post them over on the
travellers seeking travellers section.
Anyway hopefully see you on the road
regards
Steve

:welcome: Steve.

The crash stats here say you are very likely to have a crash ... older people getting back into motorcycling are not use to the way traffic deals with them, thinking they will be treated the same as when they are in their car. The other thing is the performance increase of the new bikes over the older bikes - faster acceleration and deceleration. Please take care.

Good. beer The stats here suggest that someone who has held their motorcycle license and not ridden for some years then starts riding again is at significant risk. I'd think that would be the same for drivers who gain a motorcycle license without some significant training on the motorcycle aspects. Some places have good training for new motorcyclists, others don't.

Good luck with the search, and travels.
