Gold Dust.
I can't believe this site exists, thank goodness, help at last.
Am planning an africa trip with my boyfriend. When I say planning, we just decided in the last few weeks we are definitely going.....don't know what route, bikes, exact start date, budget (does anyone?), so it's a mountain to climb. He's the mechanical, big one (who also picks me up when I'm in a real face down, bike on top sort of situation) and I am supposed to be the 'organiser' and am also, the little and much less off road skilled one. So, the plan now is I keep completely quiet about this website and he will think I'm a genius, having planned the whole thing on my own! Haha. Having a quick first look around the site, I am so relieved and grateful and insipired all at once. This place is going to be my bible for the next few months. Looking forward to getting to know some of you and asking lots of stupid questions. PollyGee. |

That's exactly how I was about a year ago when I got onto the HUBB. Just take a good look around the website: there is a whole load to read apart from this BB -- over there on the left of your page for example. Enjoy!

Go to the UK HU meeting in June .. Ripley (SP?). Book in now to get a spot ... limited to 500 people.. be prepaired for 3 days of 10 am to 12 pm every day .. you'll need a day off work afterwards to recover. No - you don't have to take him.
On the left under 'Events' .. 'Meetings' .. you want the UK one. Also see 'Community' - some have local meetings too. ----------------- Good luck.

Welcome
Pollygee,
Nice to meet you. I have found just asking questions and the trip plans soon take shape. There are loads of trip notes that will give you the info you require. Best of all there are some really helpful people here that are just willing to share their time, thoughts and knowledge. Cheers.
