Back in the saddle.

Joined recently and been following some of the stories on here, started riding m/c's quite a while ago , first was a Villiers 2T all of 198cc of recalcitrent, leaking , worn out grot , a long ride then for me,was from Beckenham out to the Salt box cafe at Biggin hill(about 5miles each way) for a cuppa and a slice of bread pudding, if I got there and back without breaking down it was a memorable day. Most weekends there was a rally somewhere and myself and mates on various Triumphs, Bsa's, Nortons etc. would camp out, a lot of our gear being carried on a Panther sidecar outfit. By now I had upgraded to a 650 Matchless G12csr , over the years have done various rallys in Europe and the UK both on the G12 and Honda's,Suzukis. The garage still has the G12 in there and a Triumph 5Ta, having read some of the travels on here the fire has been rekindled and I fancy getting out for more than a run to the coast, it will never be a RTW, but before the knees get too knackered a southern Euro trip would be nice, ( never want to get as cold again as I did on the Dragon rally ). Just need to think what I would like to do it on, most of my mates now ride big cc, so the G12 gets a bit stressed . Cheers beer
