UserNAme change .

Hi !!!
Is it any way to change the User name ? I pick mine quite carelessly (for a start its on Capital letters !!! I aint' yelling ! ) , and a pointless name .

I know I can create a new user , but then Id lose my post-rating and .. would be quite difficult to people to realize Its me again (even that they would care !! .

Is it any way to -at least- convert my name to lower-case ? or even better to "Javier" or "JCarrion" or something like that ?

Cheers.
Javier.

Changed to LC. NO gurantees that it will actually work, as it requires hacking into the database manually, and is risky.

Sorry, I won't be doing it again! Toooooo dangerous to the overall user database.

For future reference to all reading this, you will have to just create a new user name if you want to change it. When we upgrade the HUBB this summer, with any luck this restriction will be gone.

Yep, looks like I broke it!

MADRID_CAPETOWN no longer exists, it looks like "Madrid_CapeTown" will retain all the settings and you can login under that name, but all your old posts no longer reference YOU, so you will not get notices of additions to your threads.

You may have to re-register, if you can't login! You MAY not be able to register either, as the system doesn't allow two user names with the same email address. If so let me know via the "contact us" / Feedback link at the bottom of the page, and I will delete the old user entirely.

knew I shouldn't have tried...

Did the upgrade fix this, and is it now possible to change usernames?

I'd like to change to "stickfigure" to match my username on advrider.

Thanks!

Yes, the upgrade DID fix this, all sorted and I can easily change your user name for you.

stickfigure, your user name is now changed!

For anyone else reading this:

You can't change your username but I can. Just let me know what you want, and ensure I can see proof that it is YOU. In other words from your registered email address, or a PM from your HUBB account you want changed. I'll then change it as quickly as possible.

Grant

Hi Grant, I was quite hasty in choosing my user name, is it possible to change from Lexa Harpell - Bitten by a Hog to Bitten by a Hog? I didn't think of how many people it would reach, I was just so excited to read your site and know others had the same vision!

Cheers,
Lexa

changing user name

If you send Grant an personal message and tell him what you want and he will change for you. It might get done faster this way, Grant might not read your post for a while. I did this 2 weeks ago with no problems. remember though user name is case sensitive.

Pete.
