"You are not authorized to access this page".

Jeff,
The AAANavigate under hubb: links still show

"You are not authorized to access this page".

Is this intended?

Regards,
Norman

Whoops!!!

Sorry: that menu item should be showing up for you at all; it's a working area for content that's in the new backend but hasn't been made public. Thanks for telling us about it. Hopefully by the time you see this, it will have disappeared.

I'll distract your attention by pointing out a couple of small new features...

1. The menus in HUBB and other pages where the new backend is in place can be rolled up by clicking on the little down arrows on the right hand side of the menu title.

2. Menus open and close - try ones in Planning with triangle arrows next to them.

3. Some backend pages have an automatically generated print-friendly version. See www.horizonsunlimited.com/tripplan/bike/. It has a link at the bottom of the page.

Page loading time

Jeff and Grant (or should it be vice versa??),

I know that I can really bother people sometimes....but just a recomendation since/while you are at it. It is not unacceptable - however, it takes quite some time until the HU website can be seen. I always thought it might be a problem with my computer (upload/download speed) until I ran the HU page on a free page-checker...... . Maybe (when or if you have the time) someone should work on the pics, gifs and so on. And here is the URL for the page checker...

Web Page Speed Report - WebSiteOptimization.com.

As I said, it's completely free and gives you in my opinion some valuable information. If you want to, maybe I can help you a little during the upcoming spring vacation in March/April.

Klaus, thanks and understood - and agreed! We're working on it, as fast as we can! That pic you mention wasn't supposed to be so big - not sure how that happened unless it didn't get the optimised version uploaded in the first place. my mistake...nothing new there!

Excellent!

Mail: there's probably a setting in the configuration pages that tells it what program to use to mailto links. Not 100% sure about this.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
