Shipping search

Hey Grant, me again.
I was just wondering if it would be possible to add a "All countries" search parameter for the shipping search. You have "All continents" for search by continent, but not someting similar for countries. I think that would be helpful in finding a shipping company for a country.
I was wondering because I was trying to compile a list of shipping companies here in Japan that have served travelers before.

Sorry to be so picky all the time.
I just had the metal plate taken out of my shoulder and can't ride for a few weeks. So I have nothing better to do that camp out at the HU site!!

Chris

Hi Chris, yes, I've thought of that too!

And it will be in the new system coming in a couple months - we are doing a massive restructure of the entire guts of the system, and will have something to look at in, well, you can go now to http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hu/ for the new look - it may or may not be "broken" when you see it, as it is very much in progress. Comments appreciated! IGNORE content, and no links work etc. Strictly a pretty face.

If you use a browser OTHER THAN IE5&6; Firefox 1; Netscape 4.7; or Opera 6, all on PC (if someone wants to donate a Mac I'll happily test on that too! ) and see a problem please let me know.

Functionality and initial rollout scheduled for mid to end May if all goes well. Then we'll be steadily adding all sorts of stuff.

For the techies, the core is based on Typo3 CMS, and vBulletin will power the new HUBB, integrated with Typo3.

Feature requests, comments, thoughts etc appreciated. Everything that is on the site will eventually be emigrated over, and things like border crossings, country info, shipping etc high on the list for moving over asap.

Thanks for all comments!

Sure, if you come to Tokyo to pick it up!
The new format looks great on Safari 1.2.4 for Mac OSX (10.3)

How about if I pay the shipping?

OR get together with the rest of the Japan Community and put on a meeting there next year.

Miki (see Revelstoke 2004 Meeting) was intersted in doing one.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
