self-bumping threads

Ted's thread polling preferred bike brands (http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...ike-do-52163-7) seems to bump itself without anyone posting to it. There've been others like this. For someone like myself who routinely checks "last 24 hours" this is irritating out of proportion to its minimal importance in the workings of the universe.

Hope this helps in some way.

Mark

Yup, noticed that too. It might have to do with folks voting in the poll. Not sure though...

Yep that would be right - a vote is considered a post.

They've got other problems ... funny ... I just posted about it today, but its been going on for months.

When I do a 24 hour search I see something (example) that says someone posted 12 minutes ago. I go to the post and it says it was posted One Week ago. Should not be on the first page. This happens all the time on many different posts, been going on since the last site up grade back in May.

No doubt some arcane software issue. :confused1:

Thanks guys, not noticed it myself - mostly because I don't search!

We'll check it out and see what's up. The db upgrade could have corrupted something.

Note we always appreciate it when people tell us - you may notice there's a problem, but often you guys are doing something different than us so see different problems! So you can never assume that we know... assume that if it's broken we don't know or we'd have it fixed!

cheers, Grant
