HU meeting in Viedma 12/2003

hola,

I use this website since 1999, and I have met a lot of great people and a lot of things I have done wouldnt have been possible without this people.

The HU meeting in Viedma Argentina 12/2003 was my first travellers meeting organiziesed over this website. It was fantastic, meeting Oskar and all the travellers. It was a small meeting, and I enjoyed talking to travellers on the road. In Europe there are to many people on the travellers meetings and most of them are not travelling any longer.

I can understand that Grant has a problem earning enough money to keep this website running.

But an Ezine out every 3 or 4 months is enough, I think. The website is done very well and set up, so maybe just a few hours a day is enough to keep it going. And than there would be time for Grant to work part time somewhere else .... just an idea.

It is a fantastic website and it has helped many people, there should be a way to help Grant to keep it going.

Greetings from Sao Paulo

Mika

Re: financial situation.

I see that there is about 3,500 registered members but well under half that many posting regularly. The equivalent of US$1.00 per month from each of the regular users would go a long way to keeping the site going & more importantly, allowing Grant to graduate from cat food to something slightly more appetising...

$12.00 per year is peanuts for a site of this quality. I've contributed once in the past & will be doing so again as soon as I've finished this posting.

Steve

yeah,

12 usd a year would be nothing for most users.

I am on the road since 1999 and have another two years to go. I don´t know if I will have enough money for this journey. But if there is some left when I am back in Germany I will make a donation to Grant to keep this fantastic website running.

hope you can understand this

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
