Red face Forum upgrade made me female

Grant,

You said somewhere that deleting cookies reset preferences and what not, so I thought I'd better check out my settings. 1st thing I find in UCP is that I am now female...

Cheers,
Peter.

It seems that I too have had a forum sex change, but the reversal procedure was simple enough

I, for one, welcome the increase in female membership.

Problem fixed, so the female numbers have dropped, sorry!

Thanks to all for pointing out stuff like this - everything matters!

Now attempting to edit my profile under User Options logs me out.
I still show up in "Who's online"
but the login fields display. Subsequently, I have to fully log out and log back in to continue using the HUBB.
I don't think this happened when I did my gender correction :confused1: the other day.

See the post: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...4-2#post335924

It's an issue we've had since we went live. Reasons understood, now we just have to fix it!

I have the same issue as Chris who's no longer in Tokyo.

Login to HUBB and everything is OK. Go to profile and it asks me to log in. So I logged in again, but it doesn't work, so I logged using the link provided. Then login again and this time it works. Go to user profile and it logs me out again. Arrrrrh!

I had a second go at changing my profile. I ignored the fact the system was telling me to log in, and lo-and-behold, I was able to change it.

When I went back to the forum I had to login, logout, then login again.

Update: so then I checked my profile via clicking on my avatar and it was unchanged from before I made the edits.

So I went again into edit profile, and the changes I had made were still there.

It looks like you are holding TWO different lots of profile information and they are not in step??

Tim (who's logged in and out goodness knows how many times today)

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
