Unless I am simply delusional (which is a possibility), I believe that dates displayed on the HUBB used to be like "XX hours ago". But now they are specific dates (Jan. XX, etc.).
I kinda liked it the old way. It was nice because we are not all in the same time zone.
Any chance of it being put back? :confused1:
What do others think?
Am I just imagining things, and it has always been this way??

I wondered what the thinking would be on that. I had a request for time, and it made sense, so tried it. So we've now got a few for the old way, but I assume those who like the new way haven't commented - so let's see what the vote is.

I greatly prefer "x hours ago," but I have to wonder whether displaying both is possible: time and date, along with "x hours ago."

Not your browser! See above.
Time Zone: It SHOULD show current GMT, not BSummerT. The overall Forum default is GMT, and automatically adjust for Summer Time. Good for most northern hemisphere countries, not so good for southerners, but there is no way to get it right for everyone.
You can set yours differently if you wish to correct it - check in your user options / edit options / Date & Time options - it could be set to Automatically Detect DST, or ignore or always use DST in YOUR time zone.
There are other settings in that page worth having a look at too, such as Thread Display options: Oldest first, or newest first! Number of posts to display per page is one I often set myself to a higher number.
Also check that the Message Editor interface - last item on the page - is set to Enhanced interface, Full wysiwig editing.

Nope, sorry.  It's not a "factory option". It COULD be custom coded I'm sure - any volunteers? PHP / vBulletin experts out there?

Thanks Grant.
I too am a dinosaur and prefered the old "XX hours ago" system.
It made scanning back on "Posts in last 24 hr" much easier for those who do not remain constantly logged in.
Looking forward to it.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB.
