Vintage Triumph Parts - Suggestions?
 

Hello,

Looking for a place to buy some replacement parts for a 1966 650 Triumph that I was lucky enough to acquire. Has anyone gone through MAP Cycle?

Their website seems alright and looks like they have some nice stuff. www.mapcycle.com

Anyone know of a good place for parts? I dont need anything too crazy right now, but some petcocks that dont pour gas all over the place would be great.

If you are in Britain, you could buy one of the two magazines about classical motorcycles. they are loaded with tips and ads about old bikes. One of them is dedicated to mostly british, the other also caters for japanese etc. You might be able to find them on the internet

In Canada, two good sources are British Cycle Supply in Nova Scotia and Motoparts in Edmonton run by John Oland.

Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group has a large following across the country with local groups, keen and knowledgeable members, and various events throughout the summer.

The Central Alberta group has a very successful annual event in Ponoka each summer along with monthly meets and swap meets etc.

from that i suspect your american? so i cant suggest any places. however britbike.com is a HUGE forum for british bikes (obvious eh?) im sure there'd be links/hints/etc for where to get parts on there.

hello to all. ive had to wait 20 years and have a house burn down... but i finally have my umph.. its a 71 T25t trail blazer. Im looking for engine parts.. mainly top end but anything will help me get her runnen tops. thanks.

:funmeteryes: For the last two days... i could get her running 1st or 2nd kick... after about 5 min. or so she would then die on me... frustrated to hell and back, i started troubleshooting last night.. got spark? yep!... fuel? um.... NO:oops2:.. with just a little looking.. the tickler was the sign.... it seamed like no matter how long you would tickle her she wouldnt get wet... (i hate when that happens!!!) turned out that the fuel feed on the left side was completely blocked.
I went for my first ride last night... Its not the fastest or the prettiest... but shes my umph!!! still looking for parts. i would love to ride to work ( 50 miles one way) but ive got some work to do before i get that far from home.

Have just sold my TR25W ('69), temperamental little beast but what a noise! I have used a few places I found on the web but cant remember any details, think hawksleys was one (UK). The Rupert Ratio book is worth having, the bible for unit singles!

Thanks henry. i was wondering if you, or someone, could answer a question that has come up as i look for parts ( for the engine.). is there much of a difference between the T25t and TR25W? Are the letters code for body and accessory's? and as long as there's the 25 in there am i going to be good.?
