Xenon-like Headlight Bulbs???

I recently saw a Honda with headlamps so bright they looked like the xenon type usually found on cars, although I believe some bikes will come with them as an option nowadays. The bike I saw wasn't a newish bike so I can only surmise that a bloddy good bulb has been found by the owner. I do know that true xenon lighting comprises of a full gas powered headlamp unit so this is not an option for my 2003 Trophy. But my question is this...........am I right to think there are replacement bulbs on the market that come close to giving out such a good and sharp light? If so, does anyone know where I can get them and roughly how much they cost? Also, I also believe that replacing bulbs on a Trophy isn't the easiest task in the world either. Any views??

Cheers
Chris

Hiya - most likely to be an after-market HID kit.

I've HID'd both my KTMs - a 950 Adv and a 640 Adv both with excellent results.

Try here for an idea of what it looks like.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
