Triumph Trophey 1200 (2002)- No power. Please help

Hi Guys new to this thread stuff, friend of mine owns the Trophey but is having probs,
when he opens her up slowly he gets full range of revs full speed no probs , but if he opens her fully to say overtake so it runs full it then begins to die on him. With the throttle open it will suddenly burst into life again rapidly as he still got full throttle open.
He's checked carbs- ok
Fuel sys - ok
Filters - ok.
any ideas please, so the throttle works ok slow but not quick full throttle
cheers guys

This sounds like a fuel problem to me, it's 'bogging down'.
Has he had the tank off lately? He could have a kinked fuel or vacuum line, it's very easy to kink them when replacing the tank, due to the lack of clearance behind the fuel tap, it's a pain in the @rse to get it right, I changed mine to a gravity fed 'Pingel' fuel tap:thumbup1:

That sounds like a clue to the problem: some sort of fuel starvation - something sticking in the carb, or, maybe, the cable itself is jamming in someway?

As ever with fault diagnosis, what has changed recently that could be causing the symptoms?

Hope this helps!
