New Moderator

Hello there, as of 010501 I am your new moderator for the Triumph Tech area. So lets have some posts and prove to all these BMW riders there is life after Munich!
I look forward to building a helpful database with your help.
My credentials are as follows
Current coordinator for WATOC, World Association of Triumph Owners Clubs
with clubs in UK, Belgium, Portugal, South Africa, Sweden, Denmark, Norway,
Holland, USA,Australia,France,Germany, New Zealand - covering both old and
new Triumphs. Through these clubs I have contacts all over the world.
In the last 25 Years with the exception of a BMW K100 and a BSA Bantam I
have only owned Triumphs, twins and triples, both Meridan and Hinckley. On
the meridans I do most work myself and have rebuilt 2 Bonnies, a Trident
and a 500 Daytona.
I have travelled around Europe quite frequently, although not outside as
yet.
I am currently building two 750 Bonnevilles/Tigers for myself and my
girlfriend to travel overland to Australia on in around 2 years time , work
permitting.
If I can not help with queries, I have plenty of contacts for people who
can help.

Thanks for moderating! My idea is to mildly GS-ify the new Bonnie for RTW.
The main worry I have about the taking a Bonnie(old or new ) RTW is the front forks' lack of travel for off- road any ideas?

I's easy enough to order up beefier / longer rear shocks but the front I dunno.
Mine are 41mm , (Showa?) Is there a swap I could do? Or can one get any more travel out of the standard ones.
