Found the bar - definietly a good crowd, good people, and good tunes.

On a trip like this you manage to find a reason to celebrate everyday - be it a border crossing, an awesome days ride, you rebuilt an yamaha XT500 on the side of a road, or you spoke to a panamanian lady....in spanish.

I've gained more than I possibly imagined.

And when I wake up in the morning and take a look at my bike, I still want to ride it.

Great to see this thread getting busy again after al this time... truly, the Bonnie is King of all bikes...

Ha. The bike has indeed spent a long year of salt and sea, and paid the price. Corrosion of rims and a handful of spokes, together with smidges elsewhere.

I'm stupid enough to have to ask: can I get away with small-ish rust deposits? What can I do to tidy them up? Or do I have to perform more major surgery?

My second front disk lasted about 6,000 miles.. but started to wibble within a couple of hundred miles of an authorised service. I've just replaced it. Triumph refused to do it under warranty. *Naughty Triumph.*

Now off to enjoy tommym's pictures.. and yes, I had a broken spoke/ rear tyre blow-out too. So add that to the list of known faults..?
