Bonneville Fuel tap leaks

The Bonneville (Mikuni) fuel tap is known to be a source of problems. Mine went this week and it's cost me eighty quid to go to the supposedly better Pingle (looks and feels better but we'll see). While looking for solutions I noticed Triumph won't sell a repair kit, only another over priced and eventually leaky Mikuni tap.

So, if anyone else gets this problem, plan A should be to go and buy yourself a 15mm OD by 2mm section Nitrile rubber O-ring. You should be able to repair for a few pence.

I get the impression the "Steamer" Tigers use the same tap but could be wrong.
