Very Cool RO-RO Carrier vis a vis Europe, Asia and USA

For years I have been using Wallenius ,, problem with WW was that there was no west bound to Europe from Korea or Japan ,,

Found this Eukor ,, one of the Hyun Dai Motorcar Company JV ,,

http://www.eukor.com/homepage/eukor/contact_offices.jsp

They go both East and West.

Thx for posting Joe!

Interesting link - looking to ship my bike from Japan to southern Europe in October/November.

The dream is to go together with the bike - I am already in contact with
some travel agencies offering passenger cabins on freight ships. But looks
very difficult to get the bike on board too.

Eukor is a new chance, will get in contact asap.

Cheers

Uwe

Pyung Taek to Liverno Quote for my Harley

Nice thing about RO-RO ,, no box needed ,,
What is cool ,, they also go to Singapore ( Where you can hitch to Australasia) Malaysia ,, Middle East ,,
Mediterranean and North Europe, including Southhampton.

Lee Dong Shin <dslee(at)eukor.com> is your man for the rates.
Transit to USA takes about 12 days ,, to Europe is twice longer,, the distance plus ,, the more number of calling ports,, then the pirates .. gee

Looks ,, USD 650 for the lines ,, USD 150 for export documentation ,, USD 150 for Liverno CC ,, USD 1,000 in total ,, considering ,, DBS Dong Hae to Vladivostok is almost USD 1,000 ,, this is cheap.
Flight from Seoul to Milano on Gulf air via Dubai ,, got a quote of USD 980.

Shipping Terminology

When contacting ,, try to use following format ,, to make it easier for them to understand your requirement.

Shipper / Consignee ( Your Name or Your Forwarder)
COMM/ commodity ,, 2006 Harley Road King ( For tariff by lines and customs)
ETD / Estimated Time of Departure
ETA / Estimated Time of Arrival
POL/ Port of Loading
POD/ Port of Destination
W/M / Weight and Measure , give the bike weight ,, length x height x width.
Shipping lines use, whichever is greater for the freight.
BAF/ Bunker Added Fuel charge.
Then you can add TOS = terms of shipping ,, FOB, CNF or CIF ,,
Freight to be prepaid etc ,,

Hi Joe,

If I understand this site correctly, they go from Vancouver to Vladivostok ?

I will need to contact them, but if you or anyone else has any idea how long it takes it for them to go from Vancouver to Vladivostok would be useful.

Current plans are to fly 2 bikes from Vancouver to Seoul, then ship from Dong Hae to Vladivostok.

We had hoped to ride in ROK, but with our time being short that may not be an option.
(If I understand correctly a temporary plate is needed for the bikes to ride them in ROK ?)
