Transporting bikes from Tajikistan to Italy
 

This is definitely going to be a more obscure request for help! I'm an organizer for Roof of the World Rally, a team are being sponsored 2 or 3 motorbikes by BMW but has asked us for advice as to how to get them back to Italy from Tajikistan by the cheapest means. Apparently time is not of the essence. Due to the limited amount of time we are going to be in Tajikstan this year and can sort this out it looks like we need to try and sort out everything from over here in readyness. The team will be flying out of Dushanbe and so are not going to be able to ride them out to Tashkent or anywhere else more accessible. Does anybody have any experiance of shipping - by air or lorry from Tajikistan?
As a side point, I'm now just wondering if the sponsors might let them be driven back - considering this is such a large forum - there might be people out there who it would appeal to! Rally finishes end of July so that's when we need transport for.
