Suppose i take the bike appart and Fly it in a box like luggage wouldnt that be much cheaper(considering i have no problem reasembling it. I have send a lot of stuff from U.S.A to Europe which were much heavier than most bikes and it costed the half as much of shipping a bike. One more thing.How do deal with customs

Keep in mind that almost all airlines have a limit of 70 pounds (30 kg) max weight per piece of checked luggage.

This is an occupational safety rule, so that the baggage handlers do not suffer injury when moving the baggage around, and the airlines are quite strict about enforcing it - I have often been stopped and forced to remove something from a suitcase that is perhaps 1 kg over the limit, and that's on a business class ticket...
