I know that Kuehne&Nagel, Singapore, ship bikes by air to Australia. But last October they wanted Sing.$7,500.00 for the bike, which has to be crated. I declined, and went back to Kuala Lumpur. There I contacted Kuehne&Nagel at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. They accepted bike for shipment to Perth, to go on an Air Malaysia flight uncrated. I paid US$1,000.00. In Perth K&N informed me that Malaysian Air had not accepted the bike uncrated. I agreed to crating. When the bike arrived one week later in a huge box, I had to pay an additional US$800.00. I complained to company headquarters in Switzerland. But received no reply.
So be warned. If you ship from Singapore shop around, but expect to pay a high price. If you ship from Kuala Lumpur, you pay much less, but shop around just the same. Another thing: Malaysia does not require a carnet to bring in the bike, which makes exporting it much easier. Also: Cost of living in Malaysia is much lower than in Singapore. I advise shipping from Kuala Lumpur, but not necessarily with K&N.
