Hi Andre

Try AFS Freight Management. Chris & Erin Ratay used them to ship from Auckland to Buenos Aires in May 2001 for US$1,100. for two bikes uncrated.
http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/tri...dToBuenosAires

Their Wellington contact details are:

AFS Freight Management (NZ) Ltd

CNR Kilburnie & Kingsford Smith St,
Rongotai, Wellington
PH : +6443871056
Fax : +6443871059

Branch Manager: Gerry Rillstone:
grnfrtwn@voyager.co.nz

AFS have contact details for Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington on their website (which is under construction in sections). http://www.afsnz.co.nz/

Hope this helps.

Hi Susan and anyone out there who can help, I am desperate to avoid paying the earth for shipping my bike to Buenos Aires - presently we are faced with humongous quotes for airfreight, and relatively expensive seafreight costs....

Any ideas, links or contacts to be had ?

Many Thanks

Jeremy

I surmise from your profile that you are starting from Germany. We have info and contact details on the shipping page for sea shipments from UK to Buenos Aires: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/tri...nToBuenosAires
Although we don't have a price for Keith King's shipment, you can contact him via his link in the June, 2000 Horizons e-zine. http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/new...00-06-01.shtml

We also have info for Switzerland to Buenos Aires by sea by Lustenau Oceanfreight, with contact details for Austria. http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/tri...nToBuenosAires

If you speak German, further details/info can be obtained from Dieter Zerndt's website: http://plancon.ch/web/patagonia/patagonia.htm

hi all,

also need good contacts to fly my Tenere from Australia to South America (02.2002).

Most agents don't even answer to my email enquires.

Shipping by container is to expensive for what you get (cargo is min. 70 days on sea, portcharges are incredible high in BA, ...).

Maybe I go to NZ ...

Thanks alot MIKA

Susan: I decided not to go to Indonesia from Darwin, but thanks for all the informations
