Shipping to Chile from UK
Has anyone recently shipped motorbikes from the UK to Chile?
We want to go to Chile in November and take our 2 bikes with us. Still undecided whether to go for air or sea freight. The companies we've contacted so far don't seem too keen to help us. What's been your experience with sea or air freight? Can you recommend any companies (or advise against)? Any ideas about costs for collection and freight? And what sort of costs and difficulties can we expect upon arrival in Chile? Any other advice also greatly appreciated. Many thanks

SCOTS I am taking a container from Miami to Lima , March 2010 , the share is $400 just for the container. Port and fees are around $300 both countries US-Peru. I am taking my home stuff, my bike and 3 others US guys. If you are interested, may be you can fly your bikes to US, then use my container and follow your trip down SA. In the meantime we have decided to fly them out to Santiago with DHL. We'll post the experience on the Forum when we are back. Cheerio Uwe
