Shipping Solution from Buenos Aires to Australia?
Hi folks,
I need to move my KTM 990 ADV from Argentina to Australia around 1 July 2009. Any recommendations appreciated. How much should it cost? Other issues? I am travelling RTW and want to stop in Argentina end June and go home for a while. Intention is to continue trip from Australia end December 2009. My hope is to leave the bike with a responsible carrier and pick the bike up in Australia approximately 6 months later. I would rather not have to be there for both drop off and pick up or it means an extra flight. I think I need storage/holding solution at one end or the other to keep my own travel to a minimum. It would be nice to go dealer to dealer but I can't find a KTM shop in Australia. Thanks for your feedback. Cheers Randy

 Did you get anymore info about shipping because I need to ship my bike also from Buenos Aires to Montreal, Canada in about 1 month. I'm in Salta now looking for 3rd liability insurance, did you get any ins. for here??? Chao, Georges

I suggest you contact Javier & Sandra at Dakar motos.
While I was there, Sandra organised the shipping of an Africa Twin to Australia for a very reasonable fee.
