To Rome, you´ll probably need to send by air, as it´s inland..! Its "seaport" is Lido di Ostia, but I´m not sure, if it handles freight. Civitavecchia, Naples or Genoa are bigger seaports on that coast, and only a few hours away from Rome on an Autostrada (motorway).
I used, and can recommend Tradelanes (in Melbourne) 3 years ago, to send a DL650 by sea from Sydney to Helsinki, and only payed around 700 euros total. Took about 2 months, though (it exceeded the original ETA by about 3 weeks). Could´ve been quicker, if I had picked it up in, say, Rotterdam or Hamburg, because the big seaports in mainland Europe are the places where long-distance ocean cargo arrives, and needs to be forwarded to the final destination from there. It can easily take several days to unload and load the ships. Genoa is big, though, and Naples, too, so maybe there are some vessels going there directly.
