Free Crate coming into Buenos Aires in OCT

I have a modified BMW crate coming into Buenos Aires on the 26th OCT (approx)
It has wood-framed thick cardboard walls and
a wooden base with a three-quarter inch MDF for re-inforcment
Dimensions : (Approx) 220cm long x 140cm wide x 120cm high
It currently fits 2 Bmw F650's and four panniers and gear
Once we drive out of it you can use it to ship your bikes somewhere
... might be handy for someone (You can really tell my mother really beat the 'Waste not, want not' phrase into me )
Thanks
Stephen

I might be you guy

Hello there.

I will be looking to ship my bike back to the UK before the end of this year.
A Triumph Bonnie after my trip from Vancouver down to Ushuaia.

I'm not sure I'll be in Buenos Aires before the 5th of Nov but my brother lives there so I could get him to take care of the crate in the mean time.

Is this for free.......??
I think the most expensive part of my trip is getting back home.

By the way who are you using for shipping? Easy?

No need to rush the weather down in Argentina is touch and go right now.
Ski season finished yesterday - hopefully it´ll stop snowing now.
Laters

crate is yours..

Supposedly I should have 8 posts before I can send a PM.. now I have only 4 posts, so...
I hope to be collecting the crate + more importantly the bikes from the port on the 7th/8th of November so if your Brother wants to come with me he can put the crate+walls(when removed it can all be flat) in the back of a truck or something..
For extra strenght we used screws to secure the walls to the base etc. so if you want it in PERFECT condition then if he has drill we can unscrew the screws, otherwise we can just rip them out..
We used acompany called Hawthorn logistics (based in Dublin) but like I said due to HUMAN ERROR they have delayed the shipment a week be leaving ourshipment in dublin, so just wasted time for no reason.. I'd advise that once you do send your shipment keep following it up with the company each step of the way (cos once someone has your money they dont seem to care about service anymore)
..so I dont know how good they really are, but saying that we hopefully will have 2 BMW F650's shipped from Dubline to B.A. for 1000euro, this is the best price we could find. You can email me at Stebray@gmail.com if you want

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
