Shipping from South America to Alaska?

Hey guys,

I set off from New Hampshire, USA and am riding to South America. At the end of the trip I'll look to fly home. I thought then about riding up to Alaska when it hit me. What if I fly from South America directly to Alaska and then ride down. Save some time and money perhaps (in theory). Has anyone done this. Any thoughts on logistics/costs. Thanks!
