New York to Australia

Relocated to Australia, and trying to find a consolidated sea shipper who'll get my beloved bike down here for peanuts. It's collecting dust in New York, close to the Newark shipping port.

Any contacts?

When I shipped my bike to the US, the agents who handled the arrival were Loma Cargo Systems, Edison, NJ 732 248 2400. Once my bike was off the ship and through customs, they guys in the warehouse even helped me unpack it from the crate.

I have a contact in the UK who I think can ship from anywhere to anywhere, and he was the least expensive I found - Interconti +44 1548 843 191; my crated F650 cost 400 quid from the UK and that included shipping customs and insurance.

HTH,
Nick.

If you can get the bike to California, Direct Express is worth contacting to get it to Australia for approx. US$450. See link below to the Shipping page reference for contact details:
http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/tri...achToAustralia

To get the bike to California, try this link from our Links page: Shipping Masters http://www.shippingmasters.com/

"Motorcycle shipping within USA for US$300 and up. Crated (2-5 days) or non-crated (2-4 weeks). "Ship motorcycles coast to coast under $300- At Shippingmasters, we research the motorcycle shipping and transport rates of numerous shipping companies to help you find the lowest motorcycle shipping rates available."

For the benefit of other travellers on this route, please let us know how you make out by filling in the Shipping form after you get the bike to Australia. http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/tri...l#shippinginfo

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
