shipping from India to Europe
 

On the risk of being boring, but I didnt find any info for this route in the BB. Maybe I didnt find, maybe there is no. So, has anybody any experience shipping from India (Mumbay or delhi) to Germany (or other European country, shouldnt make much difference), about the approx. price, differences between sea and air transport, etc. Any information appreciated!

No, you're right, there haven't been any shipments from India to Europe, most people have ridden the route overland. However, the political situation at the moment makes that a risky proposition.

Note the comment about port charges from Mumbai.

You may find by the time port charges at both ends are included, it doesn't save much to ship by sea vs. air.

If you decide to do a sea shipment, you should try to use one of the bigger international shipping companies such as Hellmann Worldwide Logistics (http://www.hellmann.net/english/index.shtml)or Panalpina (http://www.panalpina.com/), who will have local offices in India.
