Shipping from Dakar to Germany - and airfares
I'am planning to ride from Cadiz to Dakar in early january for 4 weeks. At first i was thinking to sell the bike there and fly back. Now that i read a lot i have concerns - currency, tax, etc - that selling is still an option. I found advice that Otal is doing shipments but on request i found they do 20ft container minimum. If somebody does know a company doing shipments of palette with motorcycle, please let me know. In addition i'm looking for a cheap airfare from Dakar back to germany or belgium - can anyone confirm $500 or less for charter if initiated locally ?
Thanks in advance Rainer |

Just to let you know.
I got a pricing from Condor a minute ago. They serve Dakar/Frankfurt once a week Thursdays for around $350 one way ( last years pricing ) Still looking for a way shipping the bike. Rainer ;-) |

Do you have any more info on Condor? Looking for shipment from Dakar to Holland around March 2002, although Frankfurt is acceptable too. Do they also take care of the "paletting" and/or crating? Any info would be helpful!

Hi rpalmen,
sorry this is misunderstanding. Condor is doing charterflights from/to Dakar, but they do not do airfreight. So i'm still looking for a way to ship back my bike. I even considered to try joining in on a charter boat, which is taking back the competitors vehicles of the Paris-Dakar. But for some reason they are very early next year ( 14th of jan ) and i do not know the destination port in europe ( probably Marseille ). Anyway the cost would be 200 euro waiting for an answer on this from TSO ( closed until 27th aug ). If you can work out a solution to the problem please let me know. Rainer |
