SHIPPING COST, BRISBANE AUSTRALIA to UK or HOLLAND

Can someone tell me how much they paid to ship there bike from Australia the the UK or Europe, Air or Sea. Will just buy a old BMW over there if its to much as i have done that the past two years, but i have storage there and being Queensland rego i can just pay it and take the sticker with me when i go over then park it up when we come home. Cheers Locky.

Yellow Pages and International Freight Forwarders will get you up to date prices.

You'll need to have the cubic measurement of a crate the bike will fit in, plus weight.

I know there is a shipping company in Rotterdam, Netherlands, specialized in shipping bikes around the world. Not the cheapest...

If you need some help for shipping to the Netherlands; I live there! (until the 1st of March) Would/would be interesting to help you out; good training for my own trip and handy for you!

Thanks Dstehouwer, i have a daughter and her husband that live in Tynarlo near Assen that should be able to handle that end. Up until two years ago i was shipping containers of classic bikes from the USA to Australia so have a freight forward agent in Brisbane, i was hoping to get a few different prices from people that had sent there bike in the past couple of years and good or bad experences they may have had. Cheers.

A good mate shipped his bike from Sydney to UK and back last year for $3,000 with Get Routed.

Another good mate shipped a hot air balloon from Sydney to Vienna for $600 return a few months ago with Expediters International.

The balloon is about the same container space as a bike so go figure.

Contact Stewart from Tradelanes (dot) com (dot) au. They specialize in car & bike shippings, heard a lot of good things about them.
