Shipping Bikes U.K. to New Zealand.

Hi,
I need to ship two bikes from Scotland to Auckland New Zealand. I was wondering if anybody out there had experience doing this that they'd care to share. Any advice or recommendations on ways to do it, shipping options, companies to use etc. would be welcomed. Budget dictates I send them by the most cost effective means, but more importantly, they need to arrive undamaged. My travel dates are flexible, and transit time isn't a huge issue. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Regards,

Welcome to HU!

For shipping info, best place to start is in "Shipping the bike" - link on left menu under planning.

There's over 700 shipments there, so should be something to get you started!

The distance is so long, that seafreight will probably have a price advantage. But it´ll take a long time. I´ve sent from Sydney to Helsinki, it was estimated to take 42 days, but ended up taking about 60. Was cheap, though. The company was: Home: Tradelanes Global Solutions
which is located in Melbourne, but used their agent in Sydney, very professional all around. Was not their fault, that the container was delayed on the way. I don´t know, but you could ask, if they´ll be able to help you out on that route.

Try 2wglobal, good company lousy website but it looks like you could get the bikes down to Aus then from there to Auckland. I´ve used the company many times from Southampton in the UK and no problems. Ride safe.

Hi,
Thanks for the input guys, greatly appreciated. I'm still looking around but a couple of companies are standing out and looking good, so hopefully not far off dispatching bikes now.
