My gut feeling is that it won't be worth importing a standard bike to the UK because here it is a buyers market and it will stay like that for some time to come;- eBay: sv1000
On UK Ebay you can pick up any amount of SV1000s for about £3000, for instance.
On the other hand, if it is a bike that you love and cherish then fair enough.
The same would apply to track bikes - try your own search in ebay, they are always available.

Bringing such a bike from left hand drive Oz to LHD UK is one thing ----
As for France, there is a 100BHP limit there - has been for years - and a bureaucracy above and beyond that of the UK. For that reason, there are loads of Brits living in France who are riding and driving around France with UK registered vehicles; read into various threads in here and you will get the general idea.

Also worth reading are the sticky threads in Trip Paperwork about insurance for bikes in Europe/UK.

thanks guys, iv found out about get routed but also intrested about other

company,s an air fright company,s as well . the main reason i wont sell

the sv because i have had it from new , and being a 2007 , it was the last of its kind to be produced . it also has low ks.

is there also a form of rego i can get for the bike to ride around for 12 months before i change the rego. my thoughts ar to run it for a few months

for transport until i get every thing sorted
