shipping bike from Mexico to Chile or Argentina

Does anyone have experience or know about shipping a bike from Mexico to either Chile or Argentina? I am planning to go in early December. Also, as plan B. I would consider buying a bike in either of these places. Is this possible if I am not a resident, and/or are there ways around any restrictions if they are in place? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dont have experience to ship from Mexico, but if you have to choose a landing destination on boat, i wouldnt recommend Buenos Aires (paperwork). Chile will certainly be a faster and more cost effective destination, at least for harbor processing.
