I am about to fly my bike from Calcutta to Singapore end of next week anyone done that before?

Freddy: to save yourself some trouble fly to KL instead.

Marc: if you check the shipping pages and search HUBB you should find all the info you need.

One solution, is to go to Madras - Chennai - and apparently, you have boats going to Kuala lumpur. There is a consulate of malaysia there, but I do not know if it is possible to go to Thailand. I should know a bit more about it in a couple of weeks.

May be not so many "boats", as it is quite far away... more like "cargo ships", that you cannot officially use yourself. And no passenger ferries (or at least 2 years ago there hadn´t been any for about 2 decades - but of course things may have changed). Only found one big tanker, that offered something like 10 cabins for passengers, but it cost much more than flying.
