BKK to ??

I would also be interested if anyone has any info on this ... preferably flying the bike out, I can imagine port charges in Europe/UK would be extortionate!
We are looking at maybe getting to Turkey and riding back from there.
Currently we are in Malaysia near to KL, not sure if we are going to do any more of SE Asia or just call it quits and head home.
Thanks
Kev & Lorraine

Trans Air Cargo Co.,Ltd.

Try contact Trans Air Cargo (Kittima if she's still there (Kittima - Coutersales 'kittima @ transaircargo.com'), I used them from B'kok to Kathmandu. Longest part was getting the Dangerous Goods Cert but got the ball rolling via email while I was in the north. They also built the crate for me (and kept my remaining fuel..).

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the contact, I'll check them out. Do you remember what the costs were?

It's based on actual weight or volume, whichever is the higher so will all depend on the bike you have. They couldn't have made the crate any smaller (took front wheel, mirrors/screen off, loosened handlebars etc). Sure it was around £500 but would need to check notes again.

See blog post for more details:
http://www.singapore-scotland.blogsp...f-bangkok.html

On arrival in Kathmandu, I got the crate put in a corner and me and 25 or so locals quietly got on with the task of putting it back together again

Malaysian airlines

HI!

Try to contact Malaysia airlines! They will take your bikes into the passenger plane and no need to put them in crates, just disconect the battery and 1/4 full tank !
So you don't need an pakking agent. Contact malaysian air cargo at the airport. From Kuala lumpur to Amsterdam it was about 1900 euro for +_ 500 kg (1 transalp, 1africa twin)

Good luck!

Troy: Hope you guys are still on the road and didn't ship your bikes to Amsterdam!

hope you remember our club...
If that will be for Turkey-istanbul, the club can do it,forwarding by air to istanbul, customs clearing here(club garage just 11 km.from airport),fixing at the club while having raki again..
Please tell us.approximate weight and dimensions.
On facebook page, there are many photos for crate making or clearing for foreign bikes.
